Caprail replacement.

New cap rails are being built from large Teak boards. The teak is cut out using patterns to create the individual pieces.

Here, the boards are selected, cut out, then glued together, to create sweeping, large pieces.

Here the teak parts are glued together to accommodate the curved shape of the cap rails.
The large parts are positioned, and very carefully lowered onto the bulwarks. Fastener holes are drilled, then the parts are lifted again to clear the wood chips and to allow a bedding compound to be applied. Finally, they are lowered into position and fastened down.
